A Rudraksha bead can have several faces or mukhis. Mukhis or faces are visible vertical lines seen across the Rudraksha bead. Each bead has a different effect on you, depending on the number of mukhis it has. There are 38 varieties of Rudrakshas in total available in upto 21 mukhis or faces. Not all are available. Some are more easy to get than others and hence the large variation in their prices. Rudrakshas with mukhis are more powerful than the ones without. Bhajan means a devotional song, sung with Bhakti (loving devotion). It is the act by which we feel closer to our true self (i.e. atman), and to God(i.e. param atman).<br />
<br />
It always leaves a positive impression on the body and soul of both; the singer and the listener.It also helps the person to surrender to God's will and humility that matters. A human-being has total free will to surrender to God or not. And when we surrender to Him, He takes care of us. Let's listen to these Bhajans and free ourselves from all the worries and tensions. Let's enjoy the love and peace, He is showering on us.<br />
<br />
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span><strong><u>How to Organise a </u></strong><span class="IL_SPAN"><input name="IL_MARKER" type="hidden" /><strong><u>Bhajan</u></strong></span><strong><u> Group</u></strong></span> <br /><br /><span> Do you want to organise a <span class="IL_SPAN"><input name="IL_MARKER" type="hidden" />bhajan</span> group with your family members and friends? Here are some tips to bear in mind. </span><br /><br /><u>Organise a group:</u><span> Bhajans are best sung in groups. Typically, in India, bhajans are a way of social bonding with <span class="IL_SPAN"><input name="IL_MARKER" type="hidden" />people</span> irrespective of caste, gender, or class. Organise a group of like-minded <span class="IL_SPAN"><input name="IL_MARKER" type="hidden" />people</span> in your neighbourhood, and hold regular sessions at a time convenient for everyone. </span><br /><br /><u>Choose a venue:</u><span> The <span class="IL_SPAN"><input name="IL_MARKER" type="hidden" />bhajan</span> sessions could be conducted at the homes of different members by rotation. However, in some countries, neighbours may perceive it as a nuisance. Remember, bhajans should not disturb anyone's peace of mind or make it inconvenient for others. You could also conduct it at a neutral venue such as a community centre or a temple. The venue should be peaceful, away from traffic, construction sites, or any other noisy place. </span><br /><br /><u>Manage the venue:</u><span> Once you have chosen the venue, ensure that the vicinity is clean before and after the <span class="IL_SPAN"><input name="IL_MARKER" type="hidden" />bhajan</span><span> session. Normally, seating is on the floor. Arrange for few mattresses. Some <span class="IL_SPAN"><input name="IL_MARKER" type="hidden" />people</span>, especially old <span class="IL_SPAN"><input name="IL_MARKER" type="hidden" />people</span>, may not be used to sitting on the floor, and a few chairs can be kept ready for that purpose. Set aside a place for everyone to keep their footwear before they enter the prayer area. </span></span><br /><br /><u>Keep the materials ready:</u><span> Keep an idol or image of the deity that will be the focus of worship in the room, or else you may find everyone looking at each other instead of singing. Keep diyas (lamps), incense sticks, flowers, and the necessary musical instruments ready before the <span class="IL_SPAN"><input name="IL_MARKER" type="hidden" />bhajan</span> starts. Arrange for vegetarian food that can be distributed as prasad (food offered to the deity) and sufficient clean, drinking water. </span><br /><br /><u>Assign roles:</u> Being a communal affair, it is necessary to elicit the participation of most members of your group. Assign roles such as who will play the music or who will get the flowers in advance. Rotate these roles frequently to include almost every member of the group. <br /><br /><u>Keep it simple:</u><span> Not everyone in your group may know all the bhajans. Choose bhajans that can be easily sung by everyone. You could buy cassettes or CDs of devotional songs in almost every Indian language. If your group consists of <span class="IL_SPAN"><input name="IL_MARKER" type="hidden" />people</span> from different parts of the country, you could choose Hindi or Sanskrit songs. Moreover, several bhajans can be freely downloaded from the internet. You can also buy books of the lyrics of common bhajans, which should be easily accessible to all the members of your group. </span><br /><br /><u>Insist on some basic rules:</u> Taking a consensus, follow a basic set of rules for the session that will help to maintain an ambience of peace and religiosity. For example, mobile phones can be kept on silent throughout the session. <br /><br /><u>Find other activities:</u> Your group need not just limit the sessions to bhajans. You could also include story-telling sessions, elaborate pujas, and chanting of mantras. You could collect some cash offering (<i>daan</i><span>) at the end of the session that could go for charity, for example, buying clothes and books for the underprivileged. After all, the aim of the <span class="IL_SPAN"><input name="IL_MARKER" type="hidden" />bhajan</span> session is to bring each member closer to God, and what better way than to serve humanity. </span><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

Meditation doesn't come easy for many people. And that's where kirtan-an ancient participatory music experience-offers another method. Without the work of mentally quieting the mind, kirtan can carry us effortlessly to a place of quiet, to stillness. One of the oldest sacred music traditions of the world, the kirtan call-and-response chanting genre comes to us from India. Using ancient Sanskrit mantras, the kirtan calls upon sacred energies which serve to quiet the mind, remove obstacles, and bring us back to the center of our being. <br />
<br />
The kirtan involves music, the underlying art of kirtan chanting is not actually about musical ability or training-it is about the heart. Everyone can participate, regardless of age or cultural background. The purpose of this music is to get us out of our heads and into our hearts. Typically, the songs can last for 20-30 minutes each with a few moments of silence in between each song so you can soak it all up. The longer songs allow for deeper experience of the effects, and with the simple, repetitive lyrics (it's a chant, after all!) we really don't have to think much about the words. <br />
<br />
We provide floor seating in the traditional style of kirtan events in India (and yes, we also provide chairs for those who prefer chairs), and this living-room style music experience allows people to sink into themselves, to relax and ground themselves during the chants. Most of us spend the day in our heads, running here and there, thinking about where we have to be and what we have to do next. The kirtan gives us a time to come back to our center. And when this happens, beautiful things begin to unfold. Feelings of inspiration, peace, and a sense of connectedness are common experiences. </div>

In Hindu astrology, Sade Sati holds a strong position. People hold fear for it as it this time is considered to be challenging where the sufferer goes through bad and good times, depending on their karmas. A person who is going through Sade Sati suffers from health, financial, personal and career problems.<br /> <div>
It is a 7½ year long period of Saturn (Shani Dev) in a zodiac sign. Shani is the God of justice in Hinduism. He is the Lord who gives the results of good and bad karmas. In the beginning of Sade Sati, Shani affects the monetary power of the person. Stress and depression due to financial troubles are common. Slowly, relationship with partner, family members and relatives can worsen. Even after struggling hard in every field, results might not be fruitful. By worshiping Lord Hanuman, Shani Dev can help reduce the effects of Sade Sati.<br /><br /> <span style="text-decoration: underline;"><strong>Saturn(Shani) Sade Sati Puja</strong></span><br /> </div>

departed forefathers. It mainly occurs when dead forefathers and ancestors did not get peace or proper salvation (Moksh) at the time of departing their souls. Now, you may be curious to know how you will identify existence of Pitru Dosh in birth-chart. In Hindu mythology, it is believed that if anyone in the family do not offer water and food to their dead ancestors, ignore them in shradh-pooja or do not perform any custom for pacification of their soul, Pitra Dosh is formed with conjunction of luminous planet Sun and malefic planet Rahu in 9th house in birth-chart. <br />

Shradh Pooja even can clean all sinful acts and bad deeds committed by the ancestors. It is believed that performing Shradh Pooja during Pitru Paksh on kirshna paksh of Bhadrapad-Ashwin (Septemeber-October) month is very auspicious to pacify soul of departed ancestors. Performing pooja on Pitru Paksha will certainly pacify souls of your dead ancestor. </div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">

<div style="text-align: justify;">

<div style="text-align: justify;">
Offer food to dead ancestors during Shradh Pooja. </div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
The most important point, always remember or recall your ancestors for all your significant occasion in home or life. Giving respect to elders can also be the best way to please the soul of ancestors. </div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">

way as an applied philosophy. Astrology offers a special, cosmic perspective of
the events happening in our lives. It gives the events an orderliness, and
because of this, it can help us to find a solution for a predicament, or —
since astrology provides an understanding of the moving forces behind events —
to make a prognosis.</span></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: "Calibri","sans-serif"; font-size: 11.0pt; mso-ascii-theme-font: minor-latin; mso-bidi-font-family: Arial; mso-hansi-theme-font: minor-latin;">Traditional astrology has a number of branches, of which the main ones
are discussed in the next section.</span></div>
<h2 style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: "Calibri","sans-serif"; font-size: 11.0pt; mso-ascii-theme-font: minor-latin; mso-bidi-font-family: Arial; mso-hansi-theme-font: minor-latin;">The Main Branches of Astrology</span></h2>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: "Calibri","sans-serif"; font-size: 11.0pt; mso-ascii-theme-font: minor-latin; mso-bidi-font-family: Arial; mso-hansi-theme-font: minor-latin;">Traditional Astrology has three main branches:</span></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<b><span style="font-family: "Calibri","sans-serif"; font-size: 11.0pt; mso-ascii-theme-font: minor-latin; mso-bidi-font-family: Arial; mso-hansi-theme-font: minor-latin;">Natal Astrology</span></b><span style="font-family: "Calibri","sans-serif"; font-size: 11.0pt; mso-ascii-theme-font: minor-latin; mso-bidi-font-family: Arial; mso-hansi-theme-font: minor-latin;"> deals
with human life on the level of individuals and its main tool is a person's <i><span style="font-family: "Calibri","sans-serif"; mso-ascii-theme-font: minor-latin; mso-bidi-font-family: Arial; mso-hansi-theme-font: minor-latin;">birth chart</span></i>
(aka, <i><span style="font-family: "Calibri","sans-serif"; mso-ascii-theme-font: minor-latin; mso-bidi-font-family: Arial; mso-hansi-theme-font: minor-latin;">natal
chart</span></i>, or the <i><span style="font-family: "Calibri","sans-serif"; mso-ascii-theme-font: minor-latin; mso-bidi-font-family: Arial; mso-hansi-theme-font: minor-latin;">horoscope of birth</span></i>). These refer to a map of the sky drawn
for the moment of a person's birth as viewed from the birthplace. This branch
also contains <i><span style="font-family: "Calibri","sans-serif"; mso-ascii-theme-font: minor-latin; mso-bidi-font-family: Arial; mso-hansi-theme-font: minor-latin;">synastry</span></i>,
or the astrology of relationships, as well as astrological healing.</span></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<b><span style="font-family: "Calibri","sans-serif"; font-size: 11.0pt; mso-ascii-theme-font: minor-latin; mso-bidi-font-family: Arial; mso-hansi-theme-font: minor-latin;">Mundane Astrology</span></b><span style="font-family: "Calibri","sans-serif"; font-size: 11.0pt; mso-ascii-theme-font: minor-latin; mso-bidi-font-family: Arial; mso-hansi-theme-font: minor-latin;">
studies the life of large communities of people such as cities, countries, and
nations, as well as the world as a whole. In this branch, we are often unable
to establish the moment of birth of such an entity. After all, when exactly is a
city born? Therefore, some special varieties of astrological charts are used.
This branch also contains political astrology, astrometeorology, financial
astrology, and astrology of business, as well as the smaller branches that
study various cataclysms such as earthquakes, floods, volcanic eruptions, etc.</span></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<b><span style="font-family: "Calibri","sans-serif"; font-size: 11.0pt; mso-ascii-theme-font: minor-latin; mso-bidi-font-family: Arial; mso-hansi-theme-font: minor-latin;">Judicial Astrology</span></b><span style="font-family: "Calibri","sans-serif"; font-size: 11.0pt; mso-ascii-theme-font: minor-latin; mso-bidi-font-family: Arial; mso-hansi-theme-font: minor-latin;"> was
almost forgotten by the 20th century and only relatively recently was it
reborn. This is a mysterious branch, which is as far from science as it can be,
and is very close to the ancient magic. The best-known disciplines included in
judicial atrology are horary astrology, where a chart is cast for the moment
when a question was asked, and elective astrology, which teaches how to select
the best possible moment for various humane initiatives.</span></div>
<h2 style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: "Calibri","sans-serif"; font-size: 11.0pt; mso-ascii-theme-font: minor-latin; mso-bidi-font-family: Arial; mso-hansi-theme-font: minor-latin;">The Horoscope, aka the Natal Chart</span></h2>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: "Calibri","sans-serif"; font-size: 11.0pt; mso-ascii-theme-font: minor-latin; mso-bidi-font-family: Arial; mso-hansi-theme-font: minor-latin;">All these branches and disciplines share a common tool, <b><span style="font-family: "Calibri","sans-serif"; mso-ascii-theme-font: minor-latin; mso-bidi-font-family: Arial; mso-hansi-theme-font: minor-latin;">the Horoscope</span></b>.
A <b><i><span style="font-family: "Calibri","sans-serif"; mso-ascii-theme-font: minor-latin; mso-bidi-font-family: Arial; mso-hansi-theme-font: minor-latin;">horoscope</span></i></b>
is a <i><span style="font-family: "Calibri","sans-serif"; mso-ascii-theme-font: minor-latin; mso-bidi-font-family: Arial; mso-hansi-theme-font: minor-latin;">schematic
picture, or map, of the sky at a specific moment of time as viewed from a
specific location on the Earth</span></i>. Some examples include: horoscopes
of birth, which are calculated for the moment of people’s births and for their
birth places; horoscopes of important events; or horoscopes of the equinoxes
(vernal or autumnal) calculated for specific locations.</span></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: "Calibri","sans-serif"; font-size: 11.0pt; mso-ascii-theme-font: minor-latin; mso-bidi-font-family: Arial; mso-hansi-theme-font: minor-latin;">This is exactly where "what is above" joins with "what is
below": the map that depicts the state of the universe is used to
understand a human being, or some other microcosm.</span></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: "Calibri","sans-serif"; font-size: 11.0pt; mso-ascii-theme-font: minor-latin; mso-bidi-font-family: Arial; mso-hansi-theme-font: minor-latin;">The word <i>horoscope</i> was used, and used properly, for many centuries,
if not thousands of years. Nowadays, however, it is so often and widely misused
by applying it to just any kind of astrological and pseudo-astrological writing
that Western astrologers rarely use it. Instead, the word <i>chart</i> is used:
a natal chart, a chart of a nation, a chart of a Vernal Equinox and so on. I
will be using both terms interchangeably so that readers can begin to have a
clear understanding of where the word "horoscope" truly belongs.</span></div>

Mangal Dosh Nivaran Puja<span style="font-size: 12.0pt; line-height: 115%;"> is a Puja performed to reduce the effects of the planet Mars
in your Horoscope. Performing the Puja will not completely abolish the effects,
however, it will either minimize or strengthen the person with this dosh. We at
Pundit Junction perform this Puja in Chandod, Gujarat, for you upon request.</span></div>
<div class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify;">

<div class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-size: 12.0pt; line-height: 115%;">Mangal Dosh
is a dosh (defect) that occurs owing to the wrong placement of the planet Mars.
It is said that during the time of your birth, if the planet Mars appears in
the 1st, 2nd, 4th, 7th, 8th or 12th house, a dosh develops in your horoscope
that can trouble the person during the most important phase of their life. This
dosh is called as Manglik or Mangal Dosh. Mangal Dosh is considered to be quite
inauspicious for marriage or married life. It brings various hurdles in the
married life of an individual causing distress, tension and severe disharmony,
which eventually gives way to bigger problems. However, in most cases there is
a delay in marriage. The violent character of Mars is the main reason that
causes this disrupt.</span></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">

<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: "Calibri","sans-serif"; mso-ascii-theme-font: minor-latin; mso-bidi-font-family: "Times New Roman"; mso-bidi-theme-font: minor-bidi; mso-fareast-font-family: Calibri; mso-fareast-theme-font: minor-latin; mso-hansi-theme-font: minor-latin;">Performing
a Mangal Dosh Nivaran Puja would help you minimize the negative effects of
Mangal Dosh. It would not completely eliminate the malignant effects of the
planet Mars, however, it can reduce it to some extent or provide strength to
the person to face the ill effects.</span></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: "Calibri","sans-serif"; mso-ascii-theme-font: minor-latin; mso-bidi-font-family: "Times New Roman"; mso-bidi-theme-font: minor-bidi; mso-fareast-font-family: Calibri; mso-fareast-theme-font: minor-latin; mso-hansi-theme-font: minor-latin;">Generally
a Manglik Dosh Nivaran Puja which is also called Mangal Dosh Nivaran Puja is a
remedy which helps to rectify or pacify this dosh. It reduces the malefic
effects of Manglik dosh formed in a horoscope, to a great extent. Manglik Dosh
Nivaran Puja is performed by learned purohits by chanting Vedic Mantra for the
concerned planet to reduce the malefic effects of that planet. In the Panchangas,
there are 40,000 Mantras for Mars (Mangal). Agni (Fire) is lit in the Havan
Kund (the sacrificial fire) and various energies (deities) are invoked by
chanting the mantras.</span></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: "Calibri","sans-serif"; mso-ascii-theme-font: minor-latin; mso-bidi-font-family: "Times New Roman"; mso-bidi-theme-font: minor-bidi; mso-fareast-font-family: Calibri; mso-fareast-theme-font: minor-latin; mso-hansi-theme-font: minor-latin;">This
Puja should be performed once in a lifetime. If the puja is performed after 12
years of age, it helps to smoothly complete your education, if performed after
24 years of your age, it would help boost your professional career, and if puja
is perform after 26 years, you will experience a stable married life. Manglik
Dosh Nivaran Puja should be performed before the age of 32years.</span></div>

Grah
Shanti Shani Puja is done to pacify planet Shani (Saturn). Shani Pooja is sought for mental peace and to get rid of various
diseases. Following things are associated with Shani.</div>
<div class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify;">
<br />
In Vedic astrology, the planet Saturn is called Shanaishwara. Saturn is
regarded as an emaciated God with long physique, big teeth and tawny eyes.
Shani is indolent and lame. The temperament or nature of Shani is airy. Saturn
is considered to be a malefic graha. It is believed that Shani can make a
person, a king or a beggar according to the native's deeds (karmas).<br />
<br />
<b>Shani Pooja - Worship Of Saturn</b><br />
Shani Puja or worship of Saturn mitigates the hardships one will have to face
during bad times. Shani Puja is also recommended to people who have Saade Sati
of Shani in their horoscope. One is advised to recite the following Shani
Mantra facing the west, to minimize the evil influence of afflicted Saturn.</div>

<div class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify;">
<br />
One can observe fasts on Saturdays and can take Khichri (made of rice and black
urad daal), after the sunset. Saturn bestows all benefits to the devotees who
pray sincerely to him.<br />
<br />
<b>Position of Shani</b> <br />
Shani is most powerful in the 7th house. Saturn rules over the two sidereal
signs of Capricorn and Aquarius. Shani exalts in Libra and falls in the sign of
Aries. Saturn is particularly a beneficial planet for Taurus and Libra
Ascendants. Saturn is the slowest moving planet as it takes 30 months or 2.6
years in each Rashi and completes one cycle in 30 years. Transit of Shani can
cause problems from Govt., peers, wife, children, slowdown in business, loss of
property and leprosy etc.<br />
<br />
<b>Significance of Shani</b><br />
Shani is an indicator of longevity, misery, sorrow, old age and death,
discipline, restriction, responsibility, delays, ambition, leadership and
authority, humility, integrity, wisdom born of experience. Saturn is regarded
as a planet of darkness which rules over the dark side of human nature, such as
the conscience (awareness of right and wrong). Saturn is regarded to be both a
giver as well as destroyer. A person who sincerely prays to Shani is blessed
not only with removal of the problems and worries, but a life that one desires.</div>

with which it was performed. At the age of 23, May 1859, he married
Saradamoni of Jairambati, whom he thought would be his ideal life
companion. Soon after, the urge of finding the truth of life made him
take sannyas under the sage Totapuri who gave him the sobriquet,
Paramhansa. </span><br />

It is believed that by chanting the Gayatri mantra and firmly
establishing it in the mind, if you carry on your life and do the work
that is ordained for you, your life will be full of happiness.
<br />
The word "Gayatri" itself explains the reason for the existence of this mantra. It has its origin in the <i>Gayantam Triyate iti</i>, and refers to that mantra which rescues the chanter from all adverse situations that may lead to mortality.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
Goddess Gayatri is also called "Veda-Mata" or the Mother of the Vedas
- Rig, Yajur, Saam and Atharva - because it is the very basis of the Vedas. It is the basis, the reality behind the experienced and the cognized universe.<br />
The Gayatri mantra is composed of a metre consisting of 24 syllables -
generally arranged in a triplet of eight syllables each. Therefore,
this particular meter (<i>tripadhi</i>) is also known as the Gayatri Meter or "Gayatri Chhanda."<br />

Hindu mythology is replete with tales of the divine sage Narad Muni,
who is called ‘Triloka Sanchari’ as he can move about in all the three
mythical worlds. On one of his celestial trips, once when he visited
earth, he witnessed rampant misery. Unable to find a way to relieve
human suffering, he approached Lord Vishnu or Narayana and related to
him the sad state of affairs on earth.<br />
Vishnu said to Narad, “Let people observe the Satyanarayana Vrata in
the evening of Shankranti or Purnima. Let them all hear the story of
Satyanarayan Katha and all miseries will come to an end.”<br />
Narad returned to earth and preached the glory of the Sri
Satyanarayan Puja. Many observed the vow without taking any food during
the course of the day and attained what they desired. As the legend
goes, all were happy and prosperous.</div>

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
Krishna's relationship with Radha, his favorite among the 'gopis' (cow-herding maidens), has served as a model for male and female love in a variety of art forms, and since the sixteenth century appears prominently as a motif in North Indian paintings. The allegorical love of Radha has found expression in some great Bengali poetical works of Govinda Das, Chaitanya Mahaprabhu, and Jayadeva the author of <i>Geet Govinda</i>. </div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
Krishna's youthful dalliances with the 'gopis' are interpreted as symbolic of the loving interplay between God and the human soul. Radha's utterly rapturous love for Krishna and their relationship is often interpreted as the quest for union with the divine. This kind of love is of the highest form of devotion in Vaishnavism, and is symbolically represented as the bond between the wife and husband or beloved and lover.</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
Radha, daughter of Vrishabhanu, was the mistress of Krishna during that period of his life when he lived among the cowherds of Vrindavan. Since childhood they were close to each other - they played, they danced, they fought, they grew up together and wanted to be together forever, but the world pulled them apart. He departed to safeguard the virtues of truth, and she waited for him. He vanquished his enemies, became the king, and came to be worshipped as a lord of the universe. She waited for him. He married Rukmini and Satyabhama, raised a family, fought the great war of Ayodhya, and she still waited. So great was Radha's love for Krishna that even today her name is uttered whenever Krishna is refered to, and Krishna worship is though to be incomplete without the deification of Radha.</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
One day the two most talked about lovers come together for a final single meeting. Suradasa in his Radha-Krishna lyrics relates the various amorous delights of the union of Radha and Krishna in this ceremonious 'Gandharva' form of their wedding in front of five hundred and sixty million people of Vraj and all the gods and goddesses of heaven. The sage Vyasa refers to this as the 'Rasa'. Age after age, this evergreen love theme has engrossed poets, painters, musicians and all Krishna devotees alike.</div>

<h3>
Brahma Mantra</h3>
<strong>Sat Chid Ekam Brahma</strong><br />
<div>
Surface Meaning:</div>
<div>
</div>
<div>
Sat = Truth</div>
<div>
Chid = Spiritual mind stuff</div>
<div>
Ekam = one, without a second</div>
<div>
Brahma = This entire cosmos, with all of its contents</div>
<h3>
Brahma Mantra with Bijas</h3>
<div>
Here is a longer version of the "Sat Chid Ekam Brahma" mantra:</div>
<div>
</div>
<div>
<strong>Om Eim Hrim Shrim Klim Sauh Sat Chid Ekam Brahma</strong></div>
<div>
</div>
<div>
<strong>Om</strong> is a prefix to many mantras. It represents the energy at the Ajna chakra at the brow center, where the feminine and masculine currents become joined and consciousness becomes unitary and wholistic.</div>
<div>
</div>
<div>
<strong>Eim</strong> (aim) is a seed sound for the feminine principle known as Saraswati. This principle governs spiritual knowledge as well as the material pursuits of education, science, art, music, and spiritual discipline.</div>
<div>
</div>
<div>
<strong>Hrim</strong> is a seed sound for "mahamaya" or the veil of creation. It is said that meditation on this seed sound will result in the meditator ultimately being shown the universe "as it is" and not as we see it currently. That is because reality as we see it is really an "agreement" among all of us which is passed on from generation to generation. Babies, if they could talk, would speak of the universe in quite a different way. They ultimately learn what humanity's "agreement" is and start to function in the world. For more about the Hrim bija, see the chapter on Narayana.</div>
<div>
</div>
<div>
<strong>Shrim</strong> is the seed sound for the principle of abundance. This covers the abundance of food, friends, family, health and a myriad other things. Prosperity is, of course, included.</div>
<div>
</div>
<div>
<strong>Klim</strong> is a seed with several meanings. In the present context, it is the principle of attraction. In this mantra, it is attracting the fruit of the other principles to speed the process of mantra meditation.</div>
<div>
</div>
<div>
<strong>Sauh</strong> is a couple of things. It is a spiritual principle which operates through one of the petals in the Ajna chakra. It is also a shakti activating sound.</div>
<div>
</div>
<div>
<strong>Sat:</strong> Truth</div>
<div>
</div>
<div>
<strong>Chid:</strong> Spiritual mind stuff</div>
<div>
</div>
<div>
<strong>Ekam:</strong> One, without a second</div>
<div>
</div>
<div>
<strong>Brahma:</strong> This entire cosmos, with all of its contents, sometimes also called Brahman, the state of conscious existence which is one with everything.</div>
<div>
</div>
<h3>
Longer Brahma Mantra</h3>
<div>
<strong>Om Namo Rajo Jushae Sristau</strong></div>
<div>
<strong>Sthithou Sattwa Mayaya'cha</strong></div>
<div>
<strong>Tamo Mayaya Sam'harinae</strong></div>
<div>
<strong>Vishwa Rupaya Vedhasae</strong></div>
<div>
<strong>Om Brahmanyae Namaha</strong></div>
<div>
</div>
<div>
<em>"Om is the name of He who created this cosmos with its three gunas (qualities of nature: positive, negative and quiescent) who brought all things to form and who is universal. He is Brahma, whom I salute."</em></div>
</div>
